John is a chartered surveyor and specialises in the sale and purchase of rural property and land, providing his unique level of knowledge and service to all our clientele. As members of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), we work to strict professional regulations and guidelines. However, the selling and buying of property is a people-centred process and it is essential that we have the necessary interpersonal skills, along with sound knowledge of the industry and market.

In 2019 he joined his father John in the family firm at Athertons. He currently manages all residential sales and valuations from the Whalley office, alongside his day-to-day work as Director.

Having gained extensive knowledge in all areas of estate agency and basic law through experience and his National Association of Estate Agents award (MNAEA), he manages our Whalley office, negotiates offers, carries out viewings & has managed new build development sites within the Blackburn and Ribble Valley areas. Tom is also a qualified Residential Energy Assessor and carries out Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs) for most of the properties we put on the market.

She has previuous experience in the property sector as well as media roles in the fashion industry and is responsible for our hosues looking as beautiful as they do.
